Recognizing the challenges posed by an aging workforce and the need to retain experienced talent, Schneider Electric identified an opportunity to support midlife employees in planning the next stages of their careers. This approach aimed to enhance employee engagement and ensure the retention of valuable institutional knowledge.
Action
Schneider Electric implemented a comprehensive midlife career development program in France, targeting employees aged 51 and over. The initiative included one-day career workshops for employees, complemented by one-hour coaching sessions, and training webinars for managers to facilitate meaningful career conversations.
