Looking Ahead to the UniCredit Longevity Economic Forum
In the next few days I’ll be heading to Milan where I’ll be joining global leaders, policymakers, and economists at the inaugural UniCredit Longevity Economic Forum —a bold and timely gathering focused on reimagining economic systems for the age of 100-year lives.
As Founder of *RealiseLongevity and Ambassador for the Stanford Center on Longevity, I’m honoured to represent our shared mission: turning longer lives into a source of innovation, resilience, and purpose—for individuals and institutions alike.
The forum is a milestone moment: convening Nobel Prize winners, finance ministers, economists and social impact voices to tackle longevity not as a demographic challenge, but as a strategic opportunity.
My session will focus on a question I believe we all need to wrestle with:
What will you do with your extra life? I will examine the cultural, emotional, and identity shifts that accompany longer lives—and how the “third chapter” can become the most meaningful yet.
We’ve added 30 years to life expectancy in just over a century. But while we’ve extended life, we haven’t yet reimagined what that life looks like—especially beyond traditional retirement. We are pioneering a new life stage.
Fellow Stanford Ambassador Avivah Wittenberg-Cox, a long-time inspiration and a leading voice in gender and generational strategy, is moderating the conference.
I’ll share reflections post-event, but for now—I’m packing a lot more than a suitcase. I’m carrying a deep sense of purpose and possibility.
